The Behavioural Science Unit sits inside the Directorate for Policy and International Health, also a World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre, of Public Health Wales, which can provide even greater opportunity for peer support, professional development and maybe the career networks of your future.
Main duties of the job
Your post will play a central role in supporting the BSU, ensuring successful planning, monitoring and execution of projects within the Unit, as well as ensuring integration with the other plans and projects of the Directorate.
You will plan, coordinate, and oversee the projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. You will also be responsible for managing resources, understanding and aligning dependencies, communicating with stakeholders, mitigating risks, and solving any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
In this role, you will also enjoy working closely with others across the Directorate and wider Organisation, to ensure an integrated and efficient approach to project planning and delivery that is also aligned with the Organisation's governance policies and procedures.
You will bring a comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies and techniques, excellent communication, organisation and negotiation skills, the ability to work both autonomously, using your own initiative and problem-solving aptitude, and as part of the Unit Team. Your ability to thrive in a fast paced, sometimes tricky and dynamic context will be a real benefit.
