Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and fast-growing team within the NHS Executive to support the River Business Unit.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. The post holder will be a key member of the Administration & Governance Team and will support the local development and delivery of several operational and administration activities across the NHS Executive.

In addition, working with the Corporate Administration & Governance Manager, the post holder will provide general administration management and operational support across several business activities within the Networks & Planning Directorate. This will include servicing programmes and overseeing the end to end recruitment process.

Main duties of the job

The overall purpose of the Senior Administration & Governance Support Manager post is to:

  • Provide management and business support to Networks & Planning, within the resources available.
  • Coordinate and implement cross cover support to office functions within the Directorate provide and ensure the provision of appropriate support and advice to administration and clerical staff, senior managers and consultants.
  • Manage defined business, administrative and strategic projects within the Directorate with the support of teams within the division.
  • Manage related finances and routinely prepare business reports to ensure the Directorate is diligent in the execution of its responsibilities and can demonstrate value for money through its deliverables.
