This is a new full-time permanent position within Public Health Wales.
Diabetic Eye Screening Wales (DESW) are looking for an experienced receptionist with excellent conversational Welsh to staff their new Public Health Wales Screening Centre in Mountain Ash. You will provide a sensitive, courteous and professional bi-lingual reception service to screening participants not only from DESW, but also to participants from Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening and Newborn Hearing Screening.
Hours worked will be on a rota basis between 07:00 and 20:00, occasional weekend working and overnight stays will be require
Main duties of the job
Your duties will also include answering phone calls from members of the public, in both English and Welsh, validating and updating participant information, processing change of appointments and dealing with general queries. You will also be expected to support the Office Administration Team competing requisition officer work, including placing and processing ordering using the Oracle system, managing stock and any other facility management tasks required with the Screening Centre. Experience within this aspect of the role is desirable, but full training will be given to the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will be a member of a highly motivated and friendly team within a busy, sensitive environment. You will need to develop good working relationships with a wide range of staff at all levels of the organisation and external partners and stakeholders.
