Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Information Analyst to join the NHS Wales Executive Digital Intelligence team.

Main duties of the job

The digital intelligence team encompasses data, analysis, information, and knowledge, ensuring decision makers have the right intelligence at the right time to improve the quality, efficacy and efficiency of services to improve patient experience, safety and outcomes.

As a more senior member of the team, you will have some experience of working in an information environment within the NHS or a related area. Alongside contributing to the delivery of the team objectives through the delivery of high-profile projects, where applicable, you will be given a range of responsibilities which may include developing a particular expertise on a particular dataset, analytical method, programming language or Business Intelligence tool.

This will also extend to supporting and developing the use of innovative opportunities and data science approaches. You will work closely with senior colleagues both within the business intelligence service and across the NHS Wales Executive, as the team establishes itself as one of the key providers of health intelligence across NHS Wales.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
