Job summary

We are seeking to recruit a Health Promotion Practitioner to join the Public Health Team based with the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

Main duties of the job

You will be a skilled and enthusiastic individual with relevant experience. You will contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of a range of public health and health promotion programmes across the diverse communities of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. You will be able to use your excellent communication and team working skills to work across the NHS and with a range of partner organisations at both strategic and operational levels.

If you are a highly motivated individual, with the ability to enthuse and motivate others, we are keen to hear from you.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Our Local Public Health Teams (LPHT) are transferring from Public Health Wales to the relevant local Health Boards on 30th September 2022. This change will be undertaken following the TUPE regulations and candidates will maintain the terms and conditions agreed at the time of appointment and full consultation will be undertaken following the Organisational Change Policy.
