Fully Qualified Paramedic - CHARU

We are now looking to appoint fully qualified paramedics to our CHARU team.

Stations to include -

Newport - 24/7

Merthyr - 24/7

Aberdare - Days Only

Pontyclun - Days Only

Interview Date - 6th January 2025 - Swansea

Driving and Clinical Assessment - 13th/14th January - Swansea

2 week course start date - 17th March - Pentwyn

Main duties of the job

The Cymru High Acuity Response Unit (CHARU) is a specialised resource operated by a Paramedic or Senior Paramedic who has successfully completed an intensive training program. This program is designed to enhance technical expertise in cardiac arrest management and trauma care, while also introducing essential non-technical skills.

CHARU's primary objective is to coordinate and deliver optimal patient care, provide support in clinical decision-making, and enhance the quality of care during critical incidents.

The unit are equipped with advanced resources, including enhanced analgesia and a mechanical CPR device, which can be deployed in specific situations to improve patient outcomes

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

  • IHCD Advanced Driving Programme 11(D2) (BTEC Level 3 in Emergency Ambulance Driving.
