To act as an independent practitioner using advanced skills to assess, diagnose, treat, develop and implement plans of care.

To work towards providing expert advanced practice and associated leadership of unscheduled care provision that crosses professional and organisational boundaries in emergency, urgent and unscheduled care patients.

To act as an expert advisor for patients, carers and all levels of operational clinicians.

To take a key role in the development of unscheduled care, to enhance patient care services drawing on multiple research and development methodologies.

Responds to emergency and urgent calls including driving under blue light conditions.

The TAPP positions are a permanent post, and the positions will develop into a full APP role following the successful completion of their training contract. If any member of staff does not successfully complete the full MSc, they will be provided the opportunity to relocate to a vacant or relief band 6 paramedic role.
