This is a management role within the Capital and Estates Directorate of the Trust. The post holder is responsible for managing the successful delivery of all major capital projects (discretionary and All Wales), including Estates projects, annual vehicle procurement, Fleet projects and the management of any other works deemed appropriate, ensuring that they are delivered in accordance with specification, on time, within budget and to the required standard. The role of the post holder will be to provide professional programme and project management expertise to deliver major change in accordance with both standard industry methodologies and the Welsh Ambulance Service Project and Programme Management Frameworks.

The post holder has the authority to run projects on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Estates and Capital directorate within defined constraints. The post holder's prime responsibility is to ensure that the projects produce the required products within the specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits. The post holder is also responsible for the projects producing a result capable of achieving the benefits as defined in the Business Cases for each project.

Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen within the Capital Development team. The post is full time (37.5 hours per week) .

The Project Manager post is a management role within the Capital and Estates Directorate of the Trust. This role is responsible for managing the successful delivery of capital projects (discretionary and All Wales), ensuring that they are delivered in accordance with specification, on time, within budget and to the required standard.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
