The Welsh Ambulance Service Trust is looking to employ an experienced and enthusiasticOccupational Health Clinical Team Leader. This is both a leadership and clinical role with the successful candidate reporting to the Occupational Health Service Manager.

As the Occupational Health Clinical Team Leader, you would be responsible for supporting the delivery of a high quality nurse led Occupational Health service to 4500 employees and 1000 volunteers. You will be responsible for the overall management of the OH Team supporting the OH Service Manager in implementing innovative OH practices. You will be responsible for developing preventative and rehabilitative services that ensure that optimum health is achieved along with delivering a range of the health, wellbeing and immunisation programmes. You will provide advice and guidance to managers in relation to the Trust's attendance management practices.

The service is across Wales with Teams based in St. Asaph, Swansea and Cwmbran. There is therefore a need for occasional travel between these sites, for meetings in other parts of Wales.

Main duties of the job

The post holder:o Is the department clinical leader, ensuring that the standard of evidence based care delivered to staff is of the highest quality and deputises in the absence of the Service Manager.o Has continuing responsibility for the day to day management of clinical activity including, managing resources and allocating staff.o Monitors standards of service, client experience and safety and takes appropriate action to maintain and improve them.o Provides a range of Occupational Health (OH) to employees of the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust (WAST) to promote health and wellbeing and to safeguard from risks arising from their work and working environment.o o Supports the education and training of team members; assesses clinical competence and identifies training needs.o Participates in clinical audit , research and development activities to support service development.
