Facilities Housekeeping Supervisor - 26 hours (Part-Time)
Working Pattern:
Week 1: Monday & Tuesday - 07:30 - 15:30
Thursday & Friday - 07:30-13:30
Week 2: Thursday & Friday - 07:30 - 13:30
Saturday & Sunday - 07:00-14:00
The Birmingham Women's Hospital Facilities Department have a vacancy within the housekeeping department. The post holders will be required to undertake a full range of housekeeping duties within our busy hospital. Experience is preferred.
The successful candidates will form part of our existing housekeeping team. Working for BWC Management Services Ltd you will be on the company terms and conditions and not through the trust agenda for change.
The post holders will be directly responsible to the Housekeeping Team Leader & Supervisor's and work alongside our present housekeeping staff to ensure the trust receives the highest quality of cleaning throughout the hospital site.

Main duties of the job
Duties & Responsibilities1. A prerequisite of the role is that the applicant completes Healthcare Cleaning Apprenticeship2. To establish and maintain good working relationships between domestic staff, lead nurses, ward managers and between the domestic services and other departments.3. To be fully conversant with all relevant Trust policies and codes of practice.4. To be aware of and adhere to risk assessments, COSHH assessments and method statements as and when required.5. In conjunction with other supervisory staff to ensure that equipment within the Domestic Services Department is cleaned accordingly to the agreed schedules as specified by the Assistant Facilities Manager.6. To ensure staff are issued with the correct cleaning materials/equipment in order that all duties are performed to the required standard.7. To monitor all domestic cleaning equipment and ensure staff are fully trained in using and cleaning the equipment.8. To co-ordinate and undertake all cleaning audits.9. To ensure all pull out days (deep cleaning) are done in line with the departmental schedules.
