Assistant Facilities Manager
The Vital Services department at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust has 2 new vacancies as a developmental role. 1 role based at Children's Hospital and 1 role based Women's Hospital.
These new position have been created to strengthen the existing management team in the delivery of Facilities services for Vital Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job
- Duty management responsibility for team leaders, supervisors and frontline teams delivering the essential services on which clinical care depends.
- To role model and inspire the highest standards of professional behaviour.
- To apply both departmental strategy and sound moral judgement to real time operational challenges.
- To be an active proponent of cultural change, promoting greater staff engagement and increasing inclusivity across the department.
- To strike the right balance between support, care and challenge to junior colleagues to optimise operational outcomes.
- To plan, organise and deliver improvement projects, controlling resource to meet operational deadlines.
- To apply and deliver formal HR policy including investigations, formal absence reviews and performance appraisals. The complexity and level of such undertakings are expected to increase with experience and performance.
- To take part in management on-call rotas, providing advice and escalation for significant issues occurring out of normal office house
