Job summary

We have the privilege of providing inpatient care to patients across Portsmouth, IOW, South East Hampshire and West Sussex, delivering a wide range of systemic anti cancer therapies as well as offering post bone marrow and stem cell transplant care, disease related symptom control, management of cancer treatment related toxicities and palliative and end of life care. We will facilitate specialist training opportunities to develop you in your role, including: IV training Chemotherapy administration Phlebotomy and cannulation Haematology & oncology courses So join our friendly and supportive team and begin your career in cancer care! Main duties of the job

Providing and documenting all care needs Administration of oral and IV medication Blood product support Pain management Administration of chemotherapy and other systemic anti cancer treatment Palliative and end of life care Post stem cell transplant care Care of patients with cancer related emergencies such as neutropenic sepsis and metastatic spinal cord compression Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families

  • An awareness of research and evidence based practice relevant to clinical area
