Working at the heart of our department, you will play a pivotal part in the care of our patients, making a difference on a daily basis.

Main duties of the job

As the lead nurse for the Lung Infections service, with a focus on patients with infections as a result of Bronchiectasis and other lung infections, you will be an autonomous practitioner, responsible for a caseload of patients, where you will be involved in primary and secondary diagnosis, as well as the day to day management and evaluation of treatment and care. We also operate 2 Same Day Emergency Care beds which are used for admission avoidance for suitable Respiratory patients. This role would provide oversight for the experienced Nurse In charge, acting as an escalation point and also ensuring staff welfare, training and standards.
