Job summary
We are looking for an exceptionally skilled Registered Nurse (adult/mental health/learning disability) with significant post-registration clinical experience of working with people with dementia, along with formal knowledge of dementia acquired through clinical post-graduate training/education.
The successful applicant will have a demonstrable track record of providing person-centred dementia care with a strong sense of advocacy for this client group. This post requires an innovative and committed leader who can inspire and lead quality improvement initiatives that reflect national guidance and best practice of health and social care professionals. You will hold a key leadership position responsible for providing expert professional knowledge to support the implementation of our dementia strategy.

Main duties of the job
- Provide professional nursing leadership and expert consultancy on all aspects of clinical dementia nursing practice for the care of people with dementia and their families.
- Work in an integrated and aligned manner with all relevant local and national work streams and programmes, leading on developments and innovation in dementia care and practice standards.
- Lead on the operational delivery of the Trust Dementia Strategy with support from the Deputy Chief Nurse.
