Main duties of the job

The CT/MRI department at Queen Alexandra Hospital is a fun, dynamic, vibrant and progressive department with state-of-the-art technology, located on the South coast of England in a lively city with deep historical roots.

The department has the benefit of cutting-edge CT and MRI technology and provides staff with the exciting opportunity to work with the latest Canon Aquilion One CT scanner and 3T MRI technology in a clinical setting. The department is equipped with 6 CT scanners and 3 MRI scanners with all staff encouraged to rotate through both modalities.

We currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, driven, and motivated Band 6 Radiographer, with a keen interest to specialise in CT and MRI scanning to join our team.

We opened a new Emergency Department in November 2024 and therefore are expanding our current team.We are a busy, progressive unit, with a very friendly and caring atmosphere, currently operating a 12-shift system over 7 days. There is also a requirement to contribute to the night shift and on-call rotas.

  • Post graduate qualification
  • CT Colonography experience
