Job summary
We have an exciting and innovative opportunity for two trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners to join the multidisciplinary team within Children's Services at Portsmouth Hospitals (PHU) University NHS Trust. These posts are part of a new model of care to support the medical and non-medical workforce strategy to enhance Children's services across PHU and Solent NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job
Successful candidates will be supported with fully funded training to obtain an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice alongside development of a robust clinical capabilities' framework. Post holders will need extensive paediatric experience with a current professional registration from a relevant professional regulator. They will need evidence of working as a senior healthcare professional in an acute paediatric setting. The role involves an 80% direct clinical component across a range of settings and shift patterns and 20% non-patient facing to support their professional development.
It is anticipated that on successful completion of the training pathway the post-holder will progress from a Band 7 to a Band 8a Advanced Clinical Practitioner within Children's Services at PHU and Solent NHS Trust.
