Job summary
The Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust Dermatology Centre is located in a purpose-build, modern facility on the St Mary's Community Heath Campus, in block D. We also run our dermatology services at Gosport War Memorial Hospital, Fareham Community Hospital and at Petersfield Community Hospital. We provide an expert consultant led service, although our patients benefit from a multidisciplinary team approach, allowing them to receive the most appropriate care to meet their needs.
We are looking for a dermatology consultant who can demonstrate their ability to work as part of our efficient and cohesive multidisciplinary team and interact well with local GPs. The department provides a large part of the Wessex dermatology SpR rotation in addition to a research fellow and locally employed doctors.
Clinical support staff including nursing, technical and administration staff numbers in place to support this new post.
Main duties of the job
The appointee will join the Dermatology team as a locum Consultant Dermatologist on 6 PA's and will be expected to participate in all facets of department activity.
The post will be based in the Dermatology Centre on the St Mary's Campus in Portsmouth.
