Job summary
Velindre University NHS Trust (VUNHST) is implementing an electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA) system across all care settings. The Digital Clinical Specialist (ePMA) will have a key role within the multi -disciplinary team which is responsible for the successful delivery of the VUNHST ePMA solution to assure the safe clinical and cost-effective use of medicines.
More than one post available to make up 1.5 WTE.
This post is secondment for 12 months due to - meet the needs of the service

The post-holder will:
Use extensive nursing experience and knowledge of medicines management and existing medicines administration processes, to contribute to the design of new ways of working associated with ePMA.
Use their specialist knowledge and experience, alongside digital skills, to provide clinical advice to the Programme team and support the development, testing, training and implementation of the digital system across all Trust sites.
Assist the Chief Nursing Information Officer (ePMA) and the Senior Nurse for Digital (ePMA) by informing and contributing to the implementation, training and delivery plans for the system. This will involve delivering training sessions to the nursing workforce and the wider multidisciplinary team.
A large part of the role will involve being highly visible in the clinical areas, promoting the ePMA digital transformation and acting as a link for communication and engagement between the digital Programme and the clinical settings. This will include supporting the nursing workforce to make the transition from current paper-based processes to a new digital solution.
Organize their own workload to deliver the delegated programme aims, with support from the Chief Nursing Information Officer (ePMA) and the Senior Nurse for Digital (ePMA).
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
