Job summary
The Recovery Department in Eastern RDUH is made up of three main areas, General Recovery, Centre for Womens Health (CWH) and Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre (PEOC). We also provide recovery for the West of England Eye Unit, Cardiology, MRI CT and Endoscopy services.
Patient care is provided by Registered Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners and Assistant Practitioners, for patients undergoing surgery procedures under general or regional anaesthesia. We are also supported by Band 2/3 Recovery Assistants.
Working Patterns aim to meet the operational demands of the service and to accommodate the flexible and family friendly working within this remit so the shift patterns vary from those on the wards.
In recovery you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to help you achieve the best for our patients and build on your knowledge and skills. You will have the support of the practice educator team to enrich your learning experience and help you develop.
