Job summary

Were looking for an experienced and highly organised Admin Line Manager to lead and support our wheelchair service administrative team at the Exeter Mobility Centre. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and the continuous improvement of administrative processes.As the Admin Line Manager, youll be at the heart of our organisationworking closely with the EMC teams and management, monitoring workloads, and fostering a positive, high-performing admin environment. Due to EMC clinical activity moving onto a new EPR, supporting staff through change is an essential requirement for this role, working knowledge of EPIC is also essential

The role is varied. List of responsibilities below, however you may be asked to take on ad-hoc duties in addition to these

  • Ensure that all staff are managed appropriately and within the parameters set by the Clinical Service Manager and Admin Services Manager
  • Ensure that the administrative service is appropriately resourced and the work is closely aligned to the needs of the Trusts strategic agenda and direction
  • Ensure that administrative services function effectively on a day to day basis, supporting the needs of Service Lines and their patients
  • Support and motivate the administrative workforce to focus on the needs and experience of patients
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and share this knowledge across the trust to improve efficiencies, increase patient care and drive down costs
  • Ensure implementation and continual compliance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times
  • Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Interview Date: 1st August 2025

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2025/6 rates, inclusive of a 3.6% pay award which will be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation date, the pay award will be backdated to your start date. Until then, remuneration will be based on the 2024/5 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2024/25 | NHS Employers)
