The post holder should have experience in general medicine and be able to manage common medical and oncological emergencies. They will be supported by the registrars and consultant team. In-patient oncology service provision takes place on Yeo ward a 23 bedded unit taking direct admissions of acutely unwell oncology patients from home, as well as patients admitted electively for treatment. Our day case unit is located on Cherrybrook where patients receive systemic anti-cancer treatment and Yarty Day Case which provides initial assessment from our Acute Oncology team. The post will be mainly based on the inpatient ward and one will be based on the acute assessment day case unit. Successful candidates will not be expected to prescribe systemic anti-cancer treatment.

The successful candidates must have full registration with the General Medical Council.
