Job summary
Working as a member of the team in the Emergency Department collaborating with key teams/department to ensure the smooth flow of patients through the Majors/Minors/Resus area.
To work with minimum supervision and provide a range of clerical and administrative duties, providing a first point of contact for Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust staff and visitors reporting to Minors/Majors/Resus
To track patient progress thought the Majors/Minors/Resus Department and maintain records.
To maintain the crucial link between the AMU Clinical lead and the Emergency Department (ED).
To monitor the patient times within Majors/Minors/Resus and liaise with the Clinical team in accordance with guidelines.
Please note that the workstation for this position is in a front-line Clinical area and therefore the post holder will be exposed to patients who are presenting to ED in an aggressive, distressed or severely ill/injured state.
