Job summary
- Providing excellent customer care. Contact with a GP Practice can be highly emotive, so you will be a great communicator with strong customer service skills to try to help our patients gain appropriate access to clinicians, treating them with tact and empathy
- Ensuring all administrative processes and enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
- Typical tasks that you will complete are:
- Answering incoming telephone calls from both patients and other health professionals
- Front of house reception desk; face-to-face contact with patients dealing with queries and checking patients in when required
- Processing and signposting patient requests both on the telephone and from our electronic access service
- Booking/signposting patients into the appropriate clinical service
- Processing prescriptions and patient registrations in a timely manner
- Assisting and supporting other members of the administrative team across the department or division, including dealing with telephone calls and resolving enquiries for patients, their carers and visitors.
