Job summary
- To provide a full and efficient secretarial service to the botox service within Neurology. This will include proof reading, minute taking, diary management and ensuring that all documentation is produced to an excellent standard.
- To provide full phone line cover for the botox service line which includes managing patient expectations in regards to clinic and service demand and capacity.
- Supporting with prescriptions for clinicians and nurses
- To liaise with the appropriate clinical team members on a daily basis.
- Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times
- Complete the letters in a timely manner to support updates on medications are notified to GPs and patients.
- Organise clinics and liaise with the booking office as per updates for clinic activity.
- Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy
- Use multiple computer systems as required within the department such as EPIC (MyCare), MS Office applications
- Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times
- Adhering to Trust policies, systems and procedures (including the Trusts Confidentiality policy
- Working as part of the Neurology admin team as a collective.
