Job summary

Devon and Cornwall Sexual Assault Referral Centres provide care for people who have experienced sexual harm across our 3 SARC sites in Truro, Plymouth and Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team of forensic nurse examiners. You will provide forensic examinations for those over the age of 16 who have been recently sexually assaulted or raped for holistic health and well-being assessments and to support police prosecutions.

We are looking for Nurses and Midwives that are eager to learn and develop within this specialism, which holds patient centred care at the very forefront of all that we do.

You will be part of our multi-disciplinary team of doctors, specialist nurses, crisis workers and therapists. Devon and Cornwall SARCs are recognised nationally as a centre of best practice with their innovative and forward-thinking approach to delivering services to those that have experienced significant trauma.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. The SARC offers 24/7 care for adults who have recently been raped or sexually assaulted. This is a full time role, with an requirement to cover weekends and some nights on an rota basis.
