Job summary

We are looking for a Senior Dental Nurse for the Salaried Dental Service to support and empower a Multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate care across a number of specialist pathways, including: Special Care Dentistry, Oral Surgery and Sedation and General Anaesthetic.

Working closely with the Dental Nurse Operational Managers, Clinicians, Dental Nurses and Admin Lead to organise and deliver high quality, inclusive care. This role will provide supervision and leadership to the wider Dental Nursing Team.

The role will be based in Exeter with occasional work required in Satellite Clinics across Devon and regular travel to Barnstaple. This will generally be once or twice a month dependant on service needs.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Dental Nurse to join our Surgical Division. The post requires vision, innovation and the ability to work with clinical teams and across professional boundaries, underpinned by a real desire to provide the highest standards of patient care.

They will have a range of responsibilities supporting the clinical and wider management team to include:

Supporting the Operational Dental Team Managers with the line management of the Dental nursing team
Responsible for the effective use of trust resources
Regular clinical work to include sedation and / or theatre nursing
Work with staff to delivery a high quality service
Training, supporting and supervising new staff, to include the provision of their induction.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who is positive with a can-do attitude. You will be solution focused and have the ability to effect change.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week (Part - time working will be considered), Monday to Thursday , 08.30 - 17:00, Fridays 08:30 - 16:30.
