Job summary

This position is tailor-made for a Technician who can show initiative in supporting service improvements and managing change.

Based within our pharmacy, you will:

  • collaborate closely with our medicines safety officer and northern governance lead to maintain high standards.
  • support pharmacy teams in driving continuous quality improvement, focusing on excellence in our services.
  • take charge of Controlled Drug and medication audits, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • provide valuable assistance to ward and clinical teams, helping to implement changed to medication processed smoothly.
  • work closely with our quality assurance lead to uphold excellence across pharmacy operations and technical services.
  • review medication incidents and support pharmacy team in investigating these.

In this role, you'll collaborate with a diverse range of professionals, including Specialist Pharmacists, Senior Pharmacy Staff, Medicines Safety Officers, Quality Assurance Leads, Nurses, and Clinicians.

We're seeking a proactive individual with an ACT qualification and preferably additional pharmacy or management training. While experience is valued, we're equally interested in candidates who show a willingness to learn and grow.
