Slot Administrator (Central Outpatients)

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Slot Administrator role in our busy Central Booking Office. It is an exciting role that the successful candidate will gain an array of new skills. This role will be covering slots allocated for our 2ww (two week wait) cancer team.

    • Coordinating a professional, efficient appointment booking service
    • Coordinating 2ww clinic\'s by Setting up and altering clinics as required
    • Work closely with cancer services
    • Ensure all referral processes, appointments and enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner and escalate to senior manager as appropriate
    • Ensure slots are utilised to the best of your ability
    • Undertake general clerical duties to maximise all available outpatient capacity in an appropriate way
    • Meet with your fellow slot administrators to discuss slot requirements
    • Ensure all information is secure and confidentiality of information is maintained at all times
    • Have a good understanding of the 2ww process and RTT targets
    • Provide excellent customer care which may include communication with distressed and anxious patients and relatives, treating them with tact and empathy
    • Ensure the professional image of the Trust is maintained at all times

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work as part of the expanding Central Outpatients Team. This is new role within the team whose focus will be coordinating the slots that are listed for 2ww (two week wait) with possible cancer diagnosis.

The role is diverse and requires a self-motivated individual who will be able to adapt to the growth and challenges of the department.

This opportunity is a great role for someone who likes to problem solve and work in a fast-past environment with no two days the same.

This role is extremely beneficial to both the Clinical and the Administration teams. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have strong communication, administration skills, as well as the ability to build excellent working relationships with the team and cancer services

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00
