Join our team! Could you be our next Service Administrator (also known as Medical Secretary)?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Service Administrator to work as part of an established administration team in Diabetes & Endocrinology, based in the MacLeod Diabetes & Endocrine Centre, Wonford site.
The key aspects of the role to include:
- Providing excellent customer care. Hospital visits can be stressful and daunting, so you will be a great communicator with strong customer service skills to put our patients at ease, treating them with tact and empathy
- Ensuring all administrative processes and enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner. Typical tasks that you will complete are:
- Proof reading clinical letters (please note there is no audio typing in this role)
- Monitoring waiting times, ensuring that our patients treatment pathways, from referral to treatment are accurate and up to date (you can find out more on what this means here: NHS England Referral to treatment)
- Booking appointments from waiting lists when required
- Liaising with other specialities, health care professionals and health services
- Assisting and supporting other members of the administrative team across the department or division, including dealing w
