Job summary

As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, youll be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.

Main duties of the job

Role Summary

The successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure and experience of dealing with the general public and with difficult/distressed people. A flexible approach to work and experience of working in a busy environment and with minimal supervision are also essential.

  • To provide professional, efficient and accurate administrative support to teams within the Honiton and Ottery St Mary cluster.
  • Provide cover for reception, outpatients and community.

  • This may include typing documents, retrieving and preparing patient records, filing, entering information onto computer systems in accordance with Trust policies, retrieval of policy information and assisting with audits.

We are looking to recruit a professional and reliable individual to provideefficient and effective Reception & Administrative services to patients, visitors and Community teams at Honiton & Ottery St Mary CommunityHospitals. The post holder will have experience in working in a receptionist role. They will be proficient in dealing with confidentiality issues and able to provide excellent customer care service, ensuring patients details are accurately recorded and the relevant documentation is created to support safe patient care. This position is instrumental in creating a good first impression of the Trust / Department to patients and visitors.

Working Pattern: 22.5hrs per week to cover 3 flexible days Mon to Fri, either 08:00 - 16:00 or 08:30 - 16:30 dependant on Hospital base (30min lunch break). Opportunities to work Sat/Sun at enhanced rate are also available
