Would you like to join the Portsmouth Mental Health Hub?
We are looking to recruit an additional Mental Health Practitioner to join the Team. You will be a registered Nurse (RNMH), Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with experience working in mental health services. We are looking for someone who would like to work in a new service and help us shape the future of mental health support in Portsmouth.
The Portsmouth Mental Health Hub was requested and designed by our community to support early, easy access to support and advice to anyone over the age of 16 who has a concern about their mental health. It is a progressive service which reaches into community to ensure that anyone can access the right support at the right time. We are able to make direct referrals into secondary mental health services as well as connect residents to community support.
Was well as offering clinical support to the Team you will actively support the promotion and engagement of the Hub with the community, regularly attending events, conferences and community groups to spread the word and increase access.
You will have confidence in communicating with a range of stakeholders and service users across our community.

Main duties of the job
We require a Nurse/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist with experience in Mental Health to provide day to day clinical and line management to our new community mental health access point.
Provide expert advice and clinical supervision for a team of Band 4 Access Facilitators
Work as part of the Access to Mental Health Team to complete mental health assessments to connect individuals with relevant pathways to aid recovery.
To work in creative and personalised ways supporting the Access Facilitators to complete the work directly of value to the caller, ensuring their wishes and outcomes are always sought.
To support the Access Facilitators to work in collaboration with service users as experts in their own care, promoting the principles of recovery, choice and personalisation, which value and empower the service user.
Liaise between primary, secondary and community organisations. To jointly work with stake holders to enable access to relevant interventions/support that are available in the Portsmouth area.
Share information with other organisations.
The post holder will supervise junior staff in accordance with the supervision policy.
The post holder will be expected to possess strong leadership skills.
To be available to work flexibly across a 5 day a week service.
