We're recruiting an occupational therapist to join our innovative and friendly Childrens Therapy team. We have a full-time permanent band 6 Occupational Therapy role following reorganisation of the team.

We welcome interest from therapists with experience with Children and/or Adults in the areas of Neurodisability and / or Complex disability. An understanding of the disabled facilities grant process and options will be an advantage.

We have an integrated model of care across Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Podiatry working together to provide holistic support with children and their families at the centre of what we do. We have excellent working relationships with early years services, schools, health and social care colleagues. This enables us to support children and the wider community to develop creative and innovative ways of working together to better meet the needs of both the child and their family.

Main duties of the job

The role will be focused on supporting children with physical disabilities, with opportunity to work within our motor learning pathway.

We can support you to develop your Children's Occupational Therapy Clinical and Leadership skills by offering:

You will be supporting children to:

  • Lead full and happy lives, participating in the activities (occupations) they need and want to do at home, at school and at play.
  • Realise their potential by developing the skills and they need to access education and perform activities of daily living as children and adults.
  • Participate as valued members of their community regardless of need
