Solent's Podiatry Service are looking for you!Are you looking for a new challenge? Would you like to develop your career in the NHS and want to earn while you learn? If so, we want to hear from you!We are looking for people who enjoy working as part of a team, provide care for patients in a clinical environment and are interested becoming a Podiatry Assistant to train with us as an apprentice.This role is a 2 year course where you will complete the Senior Heath Care Support Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship training with Chichester College. Work based learning will be completed with our Podiatry Team embedding and using the skills you learn during the apprenticeship.To be considered for interview, you will need:*Passion for podiatry and learning*GSCE at grade C/4 or above in Maths and English. Functional skills level 2 Maths and English will be considered.*Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check
Main duties of the job
*To provide assessment, care planning, education and foot care to patients with vulnerable limbs associated with chronic disease.*Manage a caseload of patients by following through a care plan set by Podiatrists*Monitor foot health and report appropriate changes to Podiatrist*To assist Podiatrist in complex wound management and offloading for high risk patient's, that will include Total contact casting, wound redressing and insole manufacture following a prescription.*To provide clinical support for Nail surgery as assistant -- stock, equipment management and appropriate patient care.
