We are looking to recruit a number of Occupational Therapists within different NHS Trusts in Acute & Community, Mental Health/Psychiatric settings within Hampshire in the south of the UK.

We are looking for those who are internationally trained & registered Occupational Therapist in the process to obtain or currently holding HCPC registration. We are looking for those who can relocate in the forthcoming 4 months.

Main duties of the job

The OT service provides a range of focused assessments and interventions designed to support education and practice managing symptoms of psychosis and emotional dysregulation.

You will work alongside a welcoming and friendly multi-disciplinary team consisting of registered nurses/ mental health nurses, psychologists, therapists, nurse practitioners, medical team, social workers and experienced support workers.

Job description

Job responsibilities

*Provide evidence based occupational therapy (OT) interventions to a caseload of clients to ensure good clinical outcomes. The post holder will be required to work with the client to assess their needs, identify goals for the occupational therapy intervention, to evaluate the outcome and maintain patient records (paper and electronic). This will require the use of clinical reasoning skills.

*Provide therapeutic group work to ensure good clinical outcomes. The post holder will be expected to work alongside OT team, Social workers, Psychology and other MDT colleagues.

*Use audit and research to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the service provided.
