We are looking for a Mental Health Practitioner to join our Single Point of Access Team! In this diverse role you will develop and deliver a specialist mental health service under the guidance of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).
We are looking for someone to offer a mental health perspective to the multi-agency teams through therapeutic work, joint work and participation in network meetings.
As a member of a multi-disciplinary team you will hold a caseload and provide direct clinical work. All children are seen in the context of their family and as such you would demonstrate a high level of skill in treating the clients system, where families have severe, multi-complex long standing difficulties.

Main duties of the job
- To support staff within the wider service and partner agencies from a specialist mental health perspective.
- To exercise full responsibility and autonomy for assessments, formulation of systemic treatment, reviews and discharge summaries and be accountable for professional actions and policies.
- To participate in the development of a high quality, responsive service for children, young people and their families/carers/friends where appropriate. This may include professionally advising and managing those aspects of the service where psychiatric and/or organisational issues need addressing
- To share responsibility for and to provide a Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service within Specialist CAMHS.
- To be responsible for delivering specialist child and adolescent psychiatry in a way that is integrated with the work of other disciplines within the team and wider Children and Family Service.
