Join us as our Clinical Manager! This role would suit someone with the awareness of the diverse role this plays in both clinical and operational responsibility for a locality, allocated on appointment, with the ability to manage a range of conflicting demands and priorities. Operational responsibilities include ensuring safe staffing levels, optimum use of resources and continuity of high-quality service delivery.

Clinically, as an accountable and autonomous senior clinician, you will be asked to maintain a clinical caseload with a specific focus on supervision and support for clinical staff day to day, providing specialist clinical knowledge for complex cases and collaborative working with colleagues in other primary, community secondary health and social care organisations.

Within this role you will be expected to contribute to providing clinical leadership and co-ordination at weekends, on a rostered basis.

You will join a team of established Clinical Managers, who can provide invaluable peer support, as well as direct support and supervision from the Integrated Services Matron and Senior Leadership Team. Together you will work collaboratively in ensuring equity in service delivery across the city.

For this post, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to the use of a car.

Main duties of the job

  • To be responsible for the operational management of a community team that are part of the Locality Health Team with responsibility for ensuring safe staffing levels, optimum use of resources and continuity of high-quality service delivery.
  • To maintain a clinical caseload but with a specific focus on supervision and support for clinical staff day to day, providing specialist clinical knowledge for complex cases and collaborative working with colleagues in other primary, community secondary health and social care organisations.
  • Work as an accountable and autonomous senior clinician pro-actively treating, monitoring and anticipating changing needs of patients who have complex/and or chronic presentation to improve health outcomes and manage risk by increasing support enabling them to remain in their home/community and reducing avoidable hospital admissions.
