Job summary

Are you a passionate children's nurse looking for a role where you can make a difference?

We're looking for a Senior Continence nurse to join our nurse-led service! In this diverse, specialist role you will work with patients and their families from a range of different backgrounds. We provide a judgement free service and are looking for someone who wants to come in to talk about and support bladder and bowel problems.

You will support children within the four continence areas: constipation, soiling and day / night wetting, removing the stigma and working with the child and their parents/ guardians to provide engagement and support on moving forward.

We offer excellent training opportunities including ERIC training in Birmingham as well as shadowing colleagues and onsite training including bladder scanning and learning in clinics.

Main duties of the job

*Seeing patients and their families in different clinics across the city, supporting with their continence needs.

*Assessing patients looking at different aspects of their problems.

*Planning and making sure children are moving on with treatment plan, including reassessments and checking in.

*Managing a caseload of patients providing follow up by phone to ensure plans working continuing and engagement.

*Working with a multidisciplinary team including; a paediatrician, school nurses, social care, and schools.

*Supporting and developing line management skills to support team members

*Working closely and supporting colleagues within the Integrated Children's Community Nursing Team.
