We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us on a 15 month fixed term contract, training and qualifying in Customer Service, working within our Special Care Dental Service based at the Royal South Hants Hospital in Southampton. This is a full time role to be worked Monday - Friday.

You will be supported to provide an efficient and high-quality level of service to support the administration of the Dental Service. Reporting directly to the Practice Manager you will assist in the day-to-day operational work of the team which will involve, liaising with members of staff across the team, locality and organisation, external organisations as required and members of the public.

Main duties of the job

  • Use and populate the electronic record system for clinical records (Systm1) or other service systems with accurate information
  • Follow agreed processes for dealing with emails on Outlook and nhs.net, on a daily basis prioritising both urgency and importance, taking responsibility for signposting or dealing with queries regarding issues arising
  • Monitor and action emails coming into generic email accounts as required
  • Faxing, photocopying, scanning and electronic filing accurately and securely
  • Populate systems and databases required for service delivery
