Job summary

We currently have two vacancies in our Central Production Unit and one vacancy in our Retail area.

The first vacancy is based in the potwash area, working alongside a team to maintain the kitchen in a clean and hygienic condition at all times. Duties include deep cleaning around the production unit, using equipment, handling basic kitchen and potwash machinery, and following strict food safety and hygiene procedures.

The second vacancy is based in our chiller and portioning area, where the Catering Operative will be responsible for portioning, weighing, sealing, and labelling food containers. The role also includes monitoring food during processes such as blast chilling and recording temperatures in line with HACCP requirements.

The third vacancy is based in the Retail area. Duties include taking payments, ensuring food and drink items are fully stocked and replenished using FIFO, serving food to customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Main duties of the job

Pot Wash / Kitchen Cleaning -- Main Duties

*Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen environment at all times

*Carry out deep cleaning tasks across the production unit

*Wash and sanitise pots, pans, trays, and kitchen equipment

*Use basic kitchen and pot wash machinery safely

*Follow strict food safety and hygiene procedures

*Support the wider team with general cleaning and organisation

*Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and work areas are kept tidy

Chiller & Portioning Area -- Main Duties

*Portion, weigh, seal, and label food containers accurately

*Follow production schedules and portion control guidelines

*Monitor food during processes such as blast chilling

*Record temperatures in line with HACCP requirements

*Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the chiller and prep areas

*Use basic production equipment safely and correctly

*Ensure all food is handled, stored, and labelled according to food safety standards

Retail area Main Duties

*Serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner

*Take payments and operate the till accurately

*Ensure food and drink items are fully stocked and replenished using FIFO

*Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming front of house environment

*Support the smooth running of the restaurant and coffee shop area

*Provide excellent customer service at all times

*Assist with clearing tables, cleaning surfaces, and general housekeeping
