Band 4 Administrator/Coordinator - Radiotherapy

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to apply for the Radiotherapy Administrator role. Working in a busy outpatient department alongside over 100 therapeutic radiographers and support staff, this role is critical to supporting the smooth running of the department. Over 300 patients come through our doors every day, and this role will make a difference to all of them. Your role will be varied and busy and include ordering and managing stock, raising requisitions, supporting with payroll and HR forms and providing administrative support. This is a role for someone who likes to be a doer and has a passion for working with people and making a difference to staff and patients. In return you will be a valued and key member of a committed and dedicated team who work together everyday to deliver the best they can for patients.

The role is fulltime, Monday - Friday (37.5 hours / week). Flexible working patterns are welcome to be discussed.

Main duties of the job

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Communication

*Liaise with staff and service users

*Accurately record telephone messages and action as appropriate

*To provide a point of contact for service users

*Provide effective communication and problem solving both face to face and via telephone

*Be sympathetic and sensitive to the requirements of staff, service users when communicating by telephone or face to face, including dealing with a difficult situation

*Attend departmental meetings on a regular basis

*Contribute to building effective teamwork in exchanging views, ideas and communicating effectively
