Band 6/7 Specialised Cardiac Physiologist in CRM (Development)

The closing date is 20 April 2026

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialised Cardiac Physiologist with an interest in CRM to join a busy, established Device Service in a friendly Cardiology Department.

The roles are based at Good Hope Hospital, part of UHB, where we perform device implant and follow up including Conduction System Pacing and S-ICD implant.

You will be working towards full BHRS/IBHRE Accreditation or have a keen interest in CRM. Full training will be provided to support the successful candidate to gain full accreditation.

There is a requirement to support the Device On Call Service once accredited.

You will also be required to cover other aspects of diagnostic cardiac physiology, to include angiography, exercise tolerance testing and Holter analysis.

These are full time roles working 37.5 hours per week across 4 days, 08.00-18.00.

On occasion there may be a requirement to support services at other sites within the Trust.

There are 2 posts available - one Band 7 Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist and one with the option of Band 6/7 development. In this instance you would begin as a Band 6 Specialised Cardiac Physiologist and progress to Band 7 upon completion of the Band 7 competencies (we would expect this to happen within 23 months). We encourage those who are currently working at Band 7 as well as those wishing to develop from a Band 6 into a Band 7 to apply. Please get in contact for more detail.
