We have a very exciting opportunity for a qualified member of staff to join us in Hot Hand Clinic.
This role will give you the chance to develop new and exciting skills.
This position is open to band 5 and above with a minimum of 2 years post registration.
we are seeking an enthusiastic team member to join our small team who will embrace this ever changing role
Our role is constantly developing as we become more clinical in order to provide a seamless holistic service.
There will be oppportunity for the successful applicant to develop assessing skills working closely with consultants, ED, outpatient Hands, Dressing clinic and theatres.
Main duties of the job
Here in Hot Hand Clinic we treat a vast variety of hand injuries.
We currently work monday to friday and one sunday in five. this is changable.
Our day to day duties involve :
Attending MDT, reviewing patient from the last 24 hour with the duty consultant, ensuring follow up and outcomes are booked and correct.
Over seeing smooth running of our busy clinic/proceedure room whilst supporting HCA on shift.
Manage referrals from othe hospitals and ED.
Planning theatre lists for the following days liasing with consultants and theatre staff.
Take and triage patient calls ensuring the correct pathways are in place and that patient are safety netted. .
prepare hand over with detail and precision.
This is in addition to generic band 6 duties and is not exhaustive.
