Band 4 Data Administrator (Research)

Job summary

The Data Administrator will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality paediatric research across UHB. Working within a multidisciplinary research team, the postholder will ensure the accurate collection, entry, management, and reporting of clinical research data in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

This role involves maintaining study databases, verifying data accuracy, and supporting the timely submission of data to sponsors, collaborators, and regulatory bodies. The postholder will liaise closely with research nurses, clinicians, data managers, and trial coordinators to track participant information, resolve data queries, and ensure study milestones are met. They will also assist with data cleaning, and preparation of reports for audits, monitoring visits, and internal reviews.

Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and proficiency in data management systems are essential. The role requires excellent communication and teamwork to support a busy portfolio of paediatric clinical trials and observational studies. The successful candidate will contribute to improving data quality, enhancing research efficiency, and ultimately supporting the advancement of paediatric healthcare through high-quality research.

Main duties of the job
