Job summary
We're looking for a motivated and caring Audiologist to join our specialist Audiology Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. This 18-month fixed-term, full-time post offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients with complex hearing needs, whilst also developing your clinical skills within a leading teaching hospital.
As a Band 5 Audiologist, you will work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex hearing difficulties. Your work will include diagnostics, rehabilitation, and ongoing support for new and existing patients. You may also have opportunities to contribute towards specialist areas, such as Tinnitus, Vestibular, and Hearing Implant clinics.
We welcome applications from compassionate, motivated professionals who hold a BSc/PTP in Audiology (or equivalent) and are registered with RCCP or HCPC. You'll be encouraged to take part in service development and quality assurance, and will be supported in your continuing development.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work autonomously to assess, manage, and support patients presenting with hearing difficulties. Responsibilities include the assessment and rehabilitation of patients with complex hearing needs, fitting hearing aids where appropriate, and supporting patients in shared decision-making about their hearing care. The role also involves providing follow-up care for existing patients, including hearing aid and implantable device repairs.
The post holder will contribute to service development, quality assurance, continuous improvement and innovation within the department. They must adhere to Trust policies, procedures, and professional codes of conduct, and will be supported in completing any work-based training relevant to the role.
Audiology offers a range of specialist clinics, and there will be opportunities to work alongside colleagues in Tinnitus, Vestibular, and Hearing Implant services.
