Job summary
An exciting opportunity has come up within the Hepatitis service at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Medical Secretary to provide administration support to the ODN network and the Hepatitis nurses.
Applicants should have a responsible attitude and be able to demonstrate good communication skills, as close liaison is essential with patients and Hepatitis nurses.
The post holder should demonstrate effective communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team.
This post is fixed term for 12 months.
Main duties of the job
The post holders expected main duties would be the typing of clinical letters for the Hepatitis nurses adhering to the letter turnaround target. Other aspects of this role will include the booking of Hepatitis clinics and general administration duties expected to be completed at the nurses requests. The post holder will also be expected to minute the ODN meeting.
