If so, we are looking for people like you to work in our Theatres at Good Hope Hospital as a Theatre Support Worker. Theatre vacancies maybe available at our other sites. The post holder will undertake the movement of patients, equipment and designated items throughout the hospital and will contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment. This will involve moving of patients on trolleys and beds within Theatre and the hospital.
As we are a 24/7 service you will need to workdays, Nights, weekends, Bank Holidays and on calls. These posts are full time and part time. This advert is not for UHB Plus/Bank applications.
Candidates will need to undertake and pass the BKSB functional skills test before interview, these will be on Friday 17th October 2025.

Main duties of the job
As a Band 2 Theatre support worker you should be motivated, have a keen interest in the peri-operative environment and excellent communication skills. No experience is required for this post as full training and support will be given.
All new starters are supported in their work area by the theatre clinical education team as well as the theatres teams themselves.

You will be required to cover a range of shifts, which will include weekends, bank holidays, early/late/night duty, and the out of hours on call services.
