Band 8b Cardiology ACP Lead

Job summary

We are looking to appoint a Lead ACP to take forward the Cardiology ACP programme across Heartlands, Good Hope, Solihull, and community sites.

As the Lead ACP, you will play a key role in leading and managing the general cardiology, pacing and heart failure ACP team across the organisation. You will support the current team of qualified and trainee ACP's to deliver an innovative service to serve patients across the front door of the hospital, within our cardiology wards, CCU, our Direct Access Trolley area and our new ICB funded community Heart Failure Unit.

You will work closely with the MDT, including consultant cardiologists, our operational management team and the Cardiology Matron in developing and streamlining care pathways. You will be integral to the vision for non-medical care for patients within cardiology. This post includes rotation to Good Hope Hospital to support development of a similar front-door service and includes 7-day working and twilight shifts. This post is open to applicants from nursing, paramedicine, pharmacy, or physiotherapy.

  • *Professional Healthcare Registration with a UK Regulatory Body ( NMC / HCPC / GphC) (E)
  • *Post Graduate Qualification in specific speciality or equivalent experience (E)
  • *MSc or Level 7 equivalent portfolio of 180 CATs (Must cover all 4 Pillars of advanced clinical practice) -- Portfolio must include evidence of health assessment module at Level 7 (E)
  • *Non -- Medical Prescribing Course -- where applicable to registration (E)
