Band 6 Midwife-Antenatal Clinic

Job summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experianced antenatal clinic midwife to join our maternity team. In this role, you will provide expert, woman centred care to expectant mothers during their antenatal appointments. You will support women through pregnancy by monitoring their health and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in clinical assessment, have excellant communication skills and be committed to delivering safe, personalised care in a supportive environment.

Main duties of the job

Provide high quality evidence based antenatal care in line with local and national guidance

Undertake maternal and fetal assessments, screening and monitoring to support safe pregancy outcomes

Offer health education and advice to women and their families

Identify and escalate any concerns or complications promptly to the approriate senior clinician

Maintain accurate, timely and confidential records of all care provided

Work collaborativley with the MDT.

Support and mentor junior staff and students in clinical placement

Promote and safeguiard the wellbeing of women and their babaies atg all times

Contrbute to service improvements

Ensure all care is delivered in a manner that respects privacy, dignity and cultural needs

  • * Knowledge of needs of high and low risk women and neonates
