Job summary
Medical Education has a key role in ensuring the Trust achieves the highest clinical standards. High quality Medical Education supports patient safety, service delivery and the maintenance of up-to-date clinical practice.
The Postgraduate Medical Education Department is responsible for ensuring the delivery and quality management of education and training for 1800 junior doctors (doctors in training and locally employed doctors (Junior Specialist Doctors and Specialty Associate Specialists Doctors).
The Postgraduate Medical Education department is responsible for developing, managing and delivering a range of high quality and cost effective medical educational activities as required by the General Medical Council, Health Education England and the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The main purpose of this particular role is to provide an efficient and comprehensive administrative function for the Postgraduate Medical Education service. This includes, providing general administration support and when required, setting up electronic / Audio Visual (AV) equipment (i.e. laptops and data projectors, display screens, video conferencing facilities, and virtual environments (i.e. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Go2Webinar). On occasion, the post holder will be required to move furniture in meeting rooms / event training rooms to meet the events requirements.
