Job summary
Solihull Community Podiatry is a small but dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality foot health services across the Solihull borough and within University Hospitals Birmingham. We are currently seeking an organised and proactive Community Podiatry Administrator to join our friendly, supportive team.
In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of our service by:
- Providing comprehensive, efficient administrative support for the Community Podiatry service.
- Accurately scheduling patients into the correct clinics, following clinical specialty criteria.
- Identifying and reporting any shortfalls in clinic capacity.

Hours: 20 hours 15 minutes per week
Working Pattern:
Monday: 9:15am -- 2:30pm
Tuesday: 9:15am -- 2:15pm
Thursday: 9:15am -- 2:15pm
Friday: 9:15am -- 2:15pm
Main duties of the job
As a Community Podiatry Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a professional, efficient and high-quality administrative service to support the Community Podiatry team.
- Accurately entering and updating information on a range of Trust IT systems within agreed timescales.
- Communicating effectively with patients, including scheduling and coordinating clinic appointments.
- Managing incoming telephone calls, taking clear messages, and directing queries to the appropriate team members.
- Organising and arranging meetings as required.
- Handling incoming post, ensuring it is opened, recorded and actioned appropriately.
- Monitoring and responding to electronic correspondence, ensuring information is shared with the relevant colleagues in a timely manner.
